Let's Keep History Alive - Authentically
Our children are often short-changed in their quality of history education today. We contribute to that lack of knowledge by taking them to "living history" programs where some people wear grey plastic panels or carry trash can lids, and we're supposed to imagine it being armor. Or they go to a "mountain man" rendezvous and see people dressed in brown cloth pretending it's buckskin. And how can we ever forget those lovely iridescent feathers at the Indian powwow.

Seeing the real thing is just as important a part in learning as hearing about it. How can we expect anyone to take our history, hobby or lifestyle seriously if we don't? Then there's always the deep personal satisfaction of knowing, "I'm doing it right and for real", that you'll never have by being cheap and phoney.

Let Us Know What Ya Think
We've had a couple ideas for new product lines to add to our site.  One is a line of basic gear for trekkers, such as tin dinnerware, folding fry pans, and such.  The other is Colonial and Native American herbals.  We'd like to hear from you as to whether or not there's any interest in these.  Also, make suggestions if you have other preferences.  'preciate it.
